Founded in 2006 and headquartered in London, CoreStream’s SaaS platform supports large organisations with corporate compliance and risk management needs. CoreStream is a leader in the UK’s attractive GRC software market which is experiencing significant growth driven by clients demands for improved governance and risk management to address their increasing exposure to new and expanding regulation.
The acquisition of CoreStream broadens Marlowe’s digital and environmental, social and governance (ESG) service offerings and further deepens its relationships with leading blue-chip organisations.
Matthew and Richard Eddolls, Founding Directors of CoreStream commented:
“It has been hugely impressive watching the PCB team work on our transaction. They spent the necessary time to analyse our business and properly understand its dynamics, helping us form a credible narrative that the market responded well to.
Throughout the contractual and legal negotiations, the attention to detail and effort has been spot on and we have ended up with an exceptional, yet balanced, deal for both parties.
Above all, it has been a pleasure to work with PCB. When many of our sessions were taking place at the end of a long day, it was important that we liked the people we were working with. We think PCB struck the balance between pushing for the right deal while being fair and not creating unnecessary conflict.
We’ve achieved our aims of realising significant value up-front whilst having the opportunity to participate in additional upside through a well-crafted earn-out structure that ensures all parties are incentivised to drive growth in the business going forward.”
Mark Casement of PCB added:
“It was a pleasure to support the CoreStream shareholders on this transaction. The team have created a fantastic business in the rapidly growing governance, risk and compliance technology space. The business maintains a highly strategic position in the GRC market servicing an enviable blue chip client base. CoreStream is a great fit into Marlowe’s strategy and I’m sure the business will continue its strong growth trajectory under their ownership.”
